1. There is no such thing as get rich quick
We are a society that wants everything and we want it right now! Anyone can become successful in a home based business but not everyone is prepared to wait for. There is absolutely, positively no such thing as getting rich quick when you work from home. It’s going to take time and it’s going to take some serious effort.
That being said, it doesn’t mean that it will take you half your life to see success in a home business. For most people it takes about 2-4 years. For some people it takes a little longer and for others it happens a bit faster. There’s no way of telling the exact time and date when you’ll be making $100,000+ but what it WILL happen. If you’re willing to work hard and wait for it.
2. People are going to talk
This might just be the number one thing that people don’t prepare their prospects for that they should. People have a preconceived notion about network marketing so when you tell your friends and family that you’re going to be working from home expect some varied responses. From excitement, to black stares to laughter to mockery you’re sure to have a LOT of opinions coming your way
Try not to let the negative comments effect you. After all they’ll only last for a while and when you become successful they’re sure to stop
3. You’re going to hear “no”… a lot
It’s true. You’re going to have to hear “no” a lot before you get a “yes” It’s just a part of the business. Working from home isn’t for everyone so if you talk to 10 people and they all say “no” don’t get discouraged. It has nothing to do with the business, the product or you… they probably would have said no to anyone.
The no’s are just another part of the package and the more no’s you hear the closer you are to your next yes!
4. The “yes” is just the beginning
For many companies the training ends when the prospect decides to sign up. However, there is a whole lot more that happens between “yes” and success! You need to know that your job is not only to find new people to be involved in your business but also to effectively train and motivate the people who are already a part of your team.
If you want to build a successful team and a huge check you’ll have to straddle the line between trainer and recruiter.
5. It’s TOTALLY worth it!!
The top 4 were the cold hard facts. They’re not always pretty but they’re the truth. However, another important truth is that all the work, all the effort, all the sacrifice is TOTALLY worth it. Success in a home based business won’t come without effort but it will be the best business decision you’ll ever make!
